Cleaning up the hard drive should be a regular task, but we always get carried away with other tasks and we forget all about removing our junk files. KCleaner offers an excellent solution for this situation. This fully automated disk cleaner runs at regular intervals, without asking for any user input. You can let it work in the background and never care about cleaning up the hard drive yourself.

KCleaner is offered free of charge and you can use it on any modern Windows platform. Also, the application doesn't need to be installed. All you have to do is extract its files from a ZIP archive, which is only 701 KB.

You only need to click a Start button, on the application's compact user interface, to engage its automatic cleanup feature. Once you start this feature, KCleaner will perform a cleanup task, after which it will clean up every hour. If you don't want to wait for an hour, you may click an option to clean up right away. It is also possible to perform an on-demand cleanup task. It takes a single click to start the operation and you may choose between different options, to shut down or restart the computer, close the application or do nothing, when the process is complete.

The main user interface can be set to expert mode, which reveals a list of temporary files. You can target one or more files and perform a simulation before cleaning up anything. Temporary file types can also be targeted in the application's general settings menu, where you can make other configurations as well. KCleaner can be set to clean up the hard drive at a different interval, trim files and to scramble file names before it deletes them. In addition, the application places different deletion methods at your disposal. Besides using a standard method, KCleaner can also perform one or three passes when erasing files.
